Generate Transcript respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use generatetranscript.com.

Information you provide

When you paste a YouTube URL into Generate Transcript, that URL is sent to our transcript provider so the available transcript can be retrieved.

We do not currently require you to create an account, provide your name, or provide an email address to use the transcript generator.

Transcripts

Generate Transcript does not intentionally store generated transcripts in an application database. Transcripts are requested on demand and returned to your browser.

Transcript requests are processed using Supadata, a third-party service used to retrieve available video transcript data.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand general website usage, such as page views, visitor counts, referrers, device information, and geographic regions.

Vercel states that its Web Analytics product uses anonymized, aggregated data and does not use cookies for standard analytics collection.

Server and technical information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information that is necessary to operate and secure the website, such as IP addresses, request information, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.

Generate Transcript is not directed specifically at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through account registration because the service currently does not require accounts.
